Lighting Wizards is a consulting firm for commercial, industrial, educational, medical, institutional, governmental, utility, design and engineering clients. 

One specialization is energy efficient and effective retrofit, relight and redesign projects. Many basic grade T8 systems can be cost effectively retrofitted or replaced, which makes eliminating T12 systems slam dunk. Often replacing fixtures, instead of just retrofitting them, provides a better comprehensive solution with regard to quality of light, worker satisfaction/productivity, watts per square foot, maintenance, and life cycle costing. Using scotopically enhanced lighting can save additional wattage and provide better quality lighting

 Another focus is education with a continuing heritage of seminars and articles on energy efficiency and good lighting for lighting professionals, end customers, retrofit contactors, ESCOs, utility reps, students, and others throughout North America. 

A third expertise is assisting utilities, third party incentive programs and state agencies, like the California Energy Commission in energy efficient incentive programs, restrictions of low efficacy products, and research.   

It is becoming more obvious that energy efficiency, good quality lighting, and recycling are not sufficient. Sustainability also needs to be included. 

Stan Walerczyk, LC, founded Lighting Wizards at the beginning of 2003 and does the vast majority of the work. For some projects qualified independent consultants, that he has known for years, are brought in.
